The Dev Studies Math Modules program is a set of 12-14 online learning modules which prepare students for college studies in math. These modules, aligned with the common core State Standards, cover integers; fractions, decimals, and percents; equations, inequalities, and problem solving; linear equations in one and two variables; geometry; systems of linear equations in two variables; exponents and polynomials; factoring; and rational expressions and equations. By considering real-life, practical applications for each topic area; watching videos and lectures; and completing plenty of practice problems, students become prepared for college-level math.
The Dev Studies Writing Modules program is a set of 8 online learning modules which prepare students for academic writing. These modules, aligned with the Common Core State Standards, cover rhetorical skills, grammar, and mechanics. By considering real-life, practical applications for each topic area and completing plenty of practice activities, students become prepared for college-level writing.
The Dev Studies Reading Modules program is a set of 4 online learning modules which reviews basic skills that will prepare students for high level comprehension of college level textbooks. These modules, aligned with the Common Core State Standards, cover an introduction to what it means to read in college, how to read for meaning, and review of both basic and critical reading skills. By considering real-life and practical applications for each topic area, reviewing the essential skills and completing plenty of practice activities, students become prepared for college-level textbook reading.
